Make sure device signs in to appstore and the Mosyle app has downloaded

If it doesnt download automatically it is the mosyle business app

Need to open the app once to allow it to work

Add passcode to device

If setting up an iPad, deactivate the feature where the cursor snaps to elements on the screen by going to Settings > Accessibility > Pointer Control > Toggle off 'Pointer Animations'

True Management

To fully manage a device in ABM+Mosyle, do the above steps but pivot at 'Finish set up on iPhone/iPad'.

Instead, go to Apple Business Manager and go to Users and add a new user. The email address you will use must not already be taken via normal Apple Account creation means, and instead must be unique so that Apple Business Manager can claim it instead.

Go to the new user and select the option retrieve a temporary login password. Log in with that password on the iPad (which should now say 'Managed by HCMS'). Set up a permanent password.

Once logged into the iPad, you can't directly install apps from the Store. You have to obtain them in ABM and push them to the device. Go to ABM > Apps & Services > Apps & Books > View Store > find the relevent app and assign it to the correct OU and then select a quantity (even if you have devices which are sharing an apple account you don't pick 1 but pick according to the number of devices )
